About this activity
Take in the best of Volta Region’s dramatic landscapes on this ride up to Amedzope, known throughout the country as Ghana’s highest town. Sitting on a lush mountainside, it’s no easy ride up to Amedzope, but the soaring views of the valleys and rivers on all sides—along with the cooler climate—make it all worthwhile.

From here we’ll dismount and hike out to the scenic Ote Waterfalls, where you can dip your feet before heading back up to the nearby Mount Gemi. There’s an omissible iron cross erected on the mountaintop, and from here you can even see Lake Volta on a good day! Congratulate yourself on a day well spent with the well-earned downhill ride from Amedzope.
