About this activity
If you’re a lover of plants & greenery, this is the tour for you. After a ride out from our meeting point at the Lindador Restaurant & Rest Stop, we roll into the rainforest village of Juaso, where cocoa farming is a common livelihood. If it’s in season, you’ll have a chance to taste raw cocoa, and see how the locals dry and process it for sale. We’ll also pass several artisanal mining pits, where miners hope to get lucky and take home some of Ashanti’s world-famous gold.

From here, it’s a bit of a climb on the main road back towards the Bunso Arboretum, where there’s nothing but peace and tranquility to be found. Those with a taste for adventure will be excited to learn that Ghana’s 2nd forest canopy walkway is at the Bunso Arboretum; while those content to keep their feet on terra firma can spend their time bird watching, butterfly spotting, or simply strolling through the verdant, shady grounds.
