Stop At: Kwame Nkrumah Memorial Park, High St., Accra Ghana
You will enjoy the best of Accra on this tour. This tour will commence at Jamestown, an old suburb in British Accra where will visit the Lighthouse and Fort James then to Dutch Accra as identified by the Ussher Fort. After this, we will stop by the General Post Office and then visit Makola Market which is the largest open market in Accra. You will walk through the busy market and get the chance to bargain for merchandise you would want to purchase.
After, you will go to the Kwame Nkrumah Museum to learn about the great Pan-African and icon who championed the course for Africa's independence and liberation. You will visit the Arts and Crafts Centre to purchase carvings and arts. You will visit the Black Star Square and Independence Square which are world famous symbols of Ghana's unique cultural heritage to learn about Ghana's post-colonial history especially its renowned journey to independence in 1957.
We will visit the Danish Accra identified by the Christianborg Castle after this, you will have lunch and then the tour ends.
