Pick up at your hotel Agrigento/Sciacca area – Drive through the island reaching the east coast. Finally we’ll drive up the volcano till 6500 feet. Here the eruption from 2001 left its mark at the Rifugio Sapienza. On the way admire the landscape and the vineyards growing in the shadow of ETNA. This area is also a well known DOC wine production area. Enjoy a walk at the nearby Silvestri Craters or simply soak up the atmosphere of the volcano. Possibility to drive up till 9800 feet by cable car to reach the summit area.  Following possibility to stop en route at a local WINERY (not included) for a wine tasting.

Optional Experience – continue to TAORMINA the pearl of the Ionian Sea. Visit this lovely town including the Greek Theatre which has inspired generations of travelers and artists.
