Day 1 - Amman (D)

Your representative will meet you at the airport, and help you with your luggage before escorting you to your Amman hotel for dinner.

Day 2 - Amman - Jerash - Amman (B, D)

After breakfast at the hotel, enjoy a panoramic tour of old Amman. Then drive about an hour and a half to the Roman ruins at Jerash. Step back in time as your local guide escorts you through the lost city's streets, theater, temples, colonnades, and plaza, before returning to Amman for dinner.

Day 3 - Amman - Dead Sea - Amman (B, D)

After breakfast, head toward the Dead Sea, and the mountainous Desert of Moab. You'll have free time to swim in its waters and smother yourself in its therapeutic mud. Get back in Amman in time for dinner.

Day 4 - Amman - Madaba - Mount Nebo - Crusader Castle - Petra (B, D) 

Enjoy an early breakfast before setting out on the drive to the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Petra. Your first stop is Madaba, famous for its Byzantine mosaics. Next, stop is at Mt. Neb. Capture spectacular views of the Jordan Valley. Finally, visit one of the great crusader castles, and arrive at your Petra hotel in time for dinner.

Day 5: Petra (B, D)

Drive a few minutes down the hill for a full-day guided visit to Petra, sculpted from red-rose rock more than 2,000 years ago. Ride a horse from the site entrance to the Siq, the dramatic canyon that formed the main entryway to the city during Nabatean times. Your guide escorts you to rock-cut tombs and the Roman amphitheater. Be back at your hotel in time for dinner.

Day 6: Petra – Wadi Rum (B, D)

After breakfast, you'll check out of your hotel, and drive to the desert of Wadi Rum, one of the most spectacular settings in the Middle East, where Lawrence of Arabia was filmed. Zoom across the red-desert sands in a 4x4 for two hours, and then enjoy free time to explore. Have dinner, and spend the night in a Bedouin camp.

Day 7: Wadi Rum – Aqaba (B, D)

After a traditional Bedouin breakfast, check out of your camp and embark on the 1-hour drive to the Red Sea resort town of Aqaba. You'll have the day at leisure to lounge on the beach, snorkel, or scuba dive by a coral reef, shop for souvenirs, or explore the ruins of Ayla, an ancient Islamic city.

Day 8: Aqaba – Amman (B, D)

After breakfast at your hotel, it's time for the 4-hour drive back to Amman, where you'll have dinner and spend the night at your hotel.
