About this activity
At 08:00am your English speaking guide meets you in the lobby of your Amman hotel. He will walk you to the vehicle and together drive about 2 hours in the north to Umm Quais. The city was a centre of Greek culture with many poets and philosophers living here. It is believed to be the biblical location where Jesus cast devils into swine, which drowned themselves in the waters of Lake Tiberias. The guide will tell you about the changeful history of this place while wandering along the colonnaded street and viewing the two theatres. Enjoy wonderful views of the Sea of Galilee and the Golan Heights.

You proceed to Jerash for lunch break at a local restaurant. Then visit for about 2 hours the well preserved ruins of Jerash. Learn how the Romans built the town with the Hippodrome, theatres, temples, colonnaded streets. Your tour finishes with drop off at your hotel in Amman. Complimentary bottled water and WiFi is offered in our vehicle.
