Excursions to South-Holland: windmills, modern architecture, royalty

1 day
About this activity
At first, this driving tour will bring you to the windmills lined up along the water at Kinderdijk in the

South of Holland. The picturesque view allows for great pictures and a relaxing stroll along the

windmills. A boat tour and a visit to the Visitor centre with multi-screen movie can be added. The

driving tour continues to The Hague the royal and political center of the Netherlands. In the

Hague, you will visit the Peace Palace, The Inner Courtyard and the Hall of Knights, which is the

centre of all political announcements. You will also drive past the famous royal buildings such as

the palace of Lange Voorhout and Palace Noordeinde. For those interested, it’s possible to visit

the Mauritshuis where many paintings of Rembrandt and Vermeer are on display. The third option

(for a tour that takes 8 hours) is to visit Rotterdam where you can admire the modern architecture,

the Erasmus Bridge and the Markthal food square, which is the new eye catcher of Rotterdam.
