About this activity

On this half-day tour, you will see the breathtaking Unesco World Heritage site - Wadden Sea. You will explore the area by boat at low tide, scouting for grey seals, harbour seals, migrating birds, plants and more. You will also visit one of the ancient fisherman’s towns on the Wadden Sea coast and see the famous enclosing dike between Noord-Holland and Friesland. This tour is family friendly and suitable for all ages.

A luxurious coach will be waiting for you at the pick-up location to take you to the boat. Your tour guide will travel with you throughout the day. The bus is equipped with a toilet and snacks can be purchased on board. The ships have both indoor and outdoor seating and are equipped with a bathroom. Wildlife is best viewed on deck! You will sail for 2 to 2,5 hours. A bar is available for drinks and snacks (please, payments by cash only). When you approach the seals, you are requested to stay seated and quiet, so that everyone can enjoy them for as long as possible. Next, you will visit the historic fisherman’s town Harlingen on the Wadden Sea coast. You will have about one hour to wander, shop, eat or relax in this beautiful historic town! On your way back to Amsterdam you will stop at the famous enclosing dike between Noord Holland and Friesland, which protects the low country against flooding.
