Itinerary

Day 1: Arequipa to Chivay

Stop At: Salinas y Aguada Blanca National Reserve, Avenida Arequipa, Arequipa 04001 Peru
In the morning we will pick you up and depart to Chivay. Our first stop is at 3,900 meters above sea level at the national reserve of Salinas and Aguada Blanca known as Pampa Cañahuas.
Duration: 15 minutes

Stop At: Arequipa, Perú, 310878, Perú 51, Arequipa 04018, Peru
The second stop is at a restaurant called el Chinito at 4,000 meters high. here passengers can use the bathrooms and enjoy a coca tea. We can enjoy panoramic views of the Misti, Chachani and Pichu pichu volcanoes from the back and observe the forest of stones, rock formations shaped like trees. We continue the trip and we will make a stop at the pampa de Toccra. Here we can appreciate beautiful thermal lagoons with water from the subsoil. Here you can also see llamas, alpacas and local muleteers, as well as Andean birds.

The fourth stop is the viewpoint of the Andes, known as Pata Pampa. It is 4,900 meters above sea level and is the highest place of the whole trip here you can see 8 volcanoes.
Duration: 15 minutes

Stop At: Plaza de Armas de Chivay, Chivay Peru
Thereafter we descend to Chivay which is the most important town of the Colca Valley. In the late afternoon you will meet the guide to go to the thermal hot springs. "La Calera".

Day 2: Colca Canyon and back to Arequipa

Stop At: Colca Canyon, Peru
Early in the morning the guide along with the transportation will be picking you up from your hotel in Chivay from where we will depart to Colca Canyon. Along the way we can enjoy the beautiful view of the Colca Valley with its agricultural terraces. When we reach the border of the Colca Canyon you can take a 30 minutes hike to the Cruz del Cóndor view point which is the most strategic area in order to watch the Colca Canyon and Condors.

Stop At: Colca Canyon, Peru
After enjoying the amazing Colca Canyon we will go back to Chivay to have lunch, but on the way we will make some stops. The first stop is at the village of Pinchollo. The second stop at the Huayra punko viewpoint where you have a magnificent view of the Colca Valley as well. The third stop is the viewpoint of Antahuilpe where you can see the terraces in the form of an amphitheater and the mysterious lagoons of the Colca Valley. The fourth stop is at the town of Maca. The fifth stop is at the the town of Yanque where the most beautiful church in the Colca Valley is located. thereafter we will reach Chivay around noon where we will have time to have lunch. After lunch we will return to Arequipa. Arriving around 5pm.
