About this activity
Meet your driver at a centrally located place in Arles in the morning or in the afternoon. Board your private vehicle and depart to Nîmes, also called "the French Rome", a great city of arts, proud of its prestigious Roman past.
See the antique buildings: Augustus's gate, the amphitheater (entrance ticket not included) ; when events such as concerts or bullfights, the amphitheater will be closed. Admire the Maison Carree or square House, one of the best preserved temples in the Roman world.
Your guide will then take you to Pont du Gard where you will have some free time to admire the monument, amazing vestige of a Roman aqueduct protected by the UNESCO, which was built during the 1st century, to supply Nîmes with drinkable water.
At the end of the tour, your guide will drive you back to Arles.
