Day 1: Arusha - Tarangire National Park (L/D)

Stop At: Babati, tanzania, Tarangire National Park 3134 Tanzania
This morning you'll head to Tarangire NP for some game viewing. The game in this beautiful national park is plentiful and the magnificent bird watching will make a devotee out of even the most reluctant. It is also one of the very few places in Africa to see the famous tree-climbing lions.

Day 2: Tarangire National Park - Serengeti National Park (B/L/D)

Stop At: Serengeti National Park Tanzania
Today we set out for the endless open plains and stunning skies of Serengeti National Park - a famous migration corridor and UNESCO World Heritage site. Here, you'll have a chance to witness the great migration of wildebeest and zebra. After exploring the park we'll head to your lodge/camp in the heart of the Serengeti for dinner.

Day 3: Serengeti National Park - Ngorongoro Crater (B/L/D)

Stop At: Ngorongoro Crater, Ngorongoro, Ngorongoro Conservation Area Tanzania
After breakfast venture into the endless open plains of Serengeti National Park wilderness for a morning game drive. You will discover why the fabled Serengeti typifies the dream of “Old Africa”. Large prides of lions laze in the tall grasses; families of elephants feed on acacia bark and trumpet to each other across the plains; while giraffes, gazelles, monkeys, eland and the whole range of African wildlife present themselves in awe-inspiring numbers. If you are there during the spectacular wildebeest migration, you will be more than astonished! After this adventure, we'll travel to the rim of the Ngorongoro Crater where you will overnight.

Day 4: Ngorongoro Crater (B/L/D)

Stop At: Ngorongoro Crater, Ngorongoro, Ngorongoro Conservation Area Tanzania
Today you’ll rise early in the morning to descend the 600m high walls to the floor of the crater and get up close with one of Africa's seven natural wonders! Listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, it is considered one of the most beautiful and unique places in Africa. Here you will find a haven of African wildlife and you might also be lucky enough to witness the endangered Rhino!

Day 5: Ngorongoro Crater - Return to Arusha (B/L)

Stop At: Ngorongoro Crater, Ngorongoro, Ngorongoro Conservation Area Tanzania
In the morning, drive to Lake Manyara National Park, which is located within the Great Rift Valley. Lake Manyara boasts a spectacular setting, famous for its tree-climbing lions and soda-ash lake. The park also provides the perfect introduction to Tanzania’s birdlife. The shores of the lake, encrusted with pink flamingo, attract more than 400 species of birds, many of them waterfowl or migrants. In the afternoon, drive back to Arusha.

  • Sleeping bags can be hired for $10USD per day.
  • Please note that the accommodations during your safari will be rustic and typical of the region. Camping will be in mobile tents, and the lodge accommodations will be a mixture of mid-range traditional lodges and tented lodges.
  • Pack as lightly as possible since there is limited space for luggage and you will not want to carry extra weight. Pack light-colored clothing, safari pants and shirts, sun hat, sunglasses, sun block, insect repellent, comfortable shoes, sandals, warm clothing, wool hat, scarf, rain poncho, warm socks, sweater, thermals, bathing suit, money belt, flashlight/torch, camera, extra batteries and memory cards (there is limited electricity available during some parts of the trip), waterproof bags for your camera, hand sanitizer, personal first aid kit, toiletries, rehydration powder, water bottle, contact lenses & glasses, electrical current adapters, earplugs, travel pillow, money pouch. Bring a small day-pack to carry your camera and personal items.
