Day 1: Arrival in Arusha

On arrival to Tanzania, you will be met by a representative from Karibu Africa Safaris. After completion of immigration procedures, he will transfer you to your accommodation where you can relax, have dinner and good night's rest.

Day 2: Arusha Leisure Day

Stop At: Arusha, Arusha, Arusha Region
A day to relax at your lodge; take a walk and enjoy the beautiful surroundings and swimming pool; or if you wish, venture into Arusha town to explore the sights and culture of this bustling city.

Day 3: Arusha to Tarangire National Park

Stop At: Tarangire National Park, Tarangire National Park, Arusha Region
You will have an early breakfast then depart for Tarangire National Park with packed lunch. You will drive through the city of Arusha then out to Maasai land where you can see Maasai grazing cattle and goats. Enjoy the game drive through the park which covers an area of 2,600 km2 and famous for its large herd of elephants, large baobab trees, and a large variety of birdlife; including endemic species, as you head to your accommodation.

Day 4: Tarangire Full Day Game drive

Stop At: Tarangire National Park, Tarangire National Park, Arusha Region
You can choose between doing a full day game drive with packed lunch, or a morning game drive and then return to the camp for lunch, and afterward head out again for a late afternoon game drive.

Day 5: Tarangire to Lake Manyara

Stop At: Lake Manyara National Park, Lake Manyara National Park, Arusha Region
After breakfast, you depart for Lake Manyara passing through the small but busy town of Mto wa Mbu, known for its 120 different tribes. The park covers an area of 330km2 of which two-thirds is the soda-lake Lake Manyara; a magnet for birdlife; making the park a bird watcher’s paradise, full of endemic species and the beautiful flamingo that congregates on the lake edges giving it a pinkish hue from afar during the wet season. You can also expect to see various animals like elephants, hippos, impala, dik-dik, bushbuck, and if you a lucky, the famous tree-climbing lions of Manyara. Mid-afternoon, you will head out of Lake Manyara and drive up the Great Rift Valley escarpment on your way to the town of Karatu to your accommodation. The town marks the beginning of the Ngorongoro Conservation Area.

Day 6: Ngorongoro Crater Tour

Stop At: Ngorongoro Crater, Ngorongoro, Ngorongoro Conservation Area Tanzania
After breakfast, you head to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area for the crater tour. The crater – or Caldera, which is the correct term – is over 20 kilometers wide and approximately 600 meters deep. If you are lucky and have a clear day, from the bottom you will be able to see the whole way around the crater walls. You will do a game drive over the crater floor, through grassland and forest, and see the soda lake named Lake Makat. Ngorongoro Crater is famous for the presence of the Big Five – buffalos, black rhinos, elephants, lions and leopards, and it also hosts many other animals, such as cheetahs, zebras, hippos, serval cats, hyenas, and wildebeest. Lunch will be served near a hippo pool, and thereafter head back to your lodge where you may relax and enjoy the view of the forest with a cold drink.

Day 7: Ngorongoro to Serengeti National Park

Stop At: Serengeti National Park, Serengeti National Park
After breakfast, you will head to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area park gates whereby after completion of park fees payment, you will continue with your journey through the conservation area on your way to the Serengeti. At the viewpoint and on a clear day, you can be able to see the Ngorongoro Crater. En route to your accommodation in the Serengeti, there is an option to visit Olduvai Gorge; famous for its Laetoli hominid footprints and other archeological discoveries made by the Leaky family and other researchers over a span of 70 years.

Day 8: Serengeti Full Day Game drive

Stop At: Serengeti National Park, Serengeti National Park
After breakfast at the lodge, you will begin a full-day game drive in the Serengeti. The park covers an area of 14,763 km2 and has a range of different habitats including open grassland, marshes, forests, and kopjes. You will spend the day looking for different animals such as lions, leopards, cheetahs, hyenas, elephants, hippos, impala, zebras, wildebeest, Grant's gazelle, Thomson’s gazelle, and many others. There is also a wide variety of birdlife. The sheer size of this park and its amazing changing scenery make it a day worth remembering.

Day 9: Extension to Zanzibar
