Hobbiton Movie Set Tour with return transfers from Auckland.
We will be picking you up from your Auckland CBD accommodation or from the Cruise Terminal. We will be travelling on an air-conditioned minibus on the way to Shire Rest in Matamata. Sit back and enjoy the breathtaking views as you get ready to arrive at the location of the Hobbiton Movie Set Tour. Upon arrival you will be transferred to the Green Hobbiton Tour buses and their guide will then take you to explore the 12 acre set, past the Hobbit holes, the Mill and for a finale- a complimentary drink at the world-famous Green Dragon Inn.
After the tour, get to enjoy some snacks at the Shire Cafe or do some souvenir shopping at The Shire Store. We will then be heading back to Auckland and we will be dropping you off at your Auckland CBD accommodation or at the Cruise Terminal.

-Start time at 8 am and return to Auckland CBD at around 4pm

-Please note that this is a NO Commentary transfer option and no commentaries will be provided by the Minibus Driver but he will be more that happy to answer your questions to the best of his knowledge.
Note: Hobbiton Movie Set walking tour includes stars, uphill and uneven surfaces and not the whole tour are wheelchair accessible. However, we can arrange for a buggy/golf cart to those with mobility requirements but this would need at least 2-3 weeks to reserve with the Hobbiton Office.

  • At time of booking, Cruise ship passengers must provide the following information at time of booking: ship name, docking time, disembarkation time and re-boarding time
  • Refunds will not be issued if tour/activity is missed due to late or non-arrival of cruise ship. However, depending on availability, tour can be rebooked to a later date.
  • A minimum of 2 people per booking is required
  • Due to uneven surfaces, this tour is not recommended for those with walking disabilities or using a wheelchair. However a gold cart can be arranged (2-3 weeks in advance) and is subject to availability.
  • Availability for shows cannot be checked without making a booking. Credit cards will only be charged upon confirmation of show availability
  • Each traveler is allowed a maximum of 1 medium luggage. Oversized or excessive luggage (e.g. surfboards, golf clubs or bikes) may have certain restrictions, please inquire with the operator prior to travel to confirm if your excess luggage is acceptable
  • This experience requires a minimum number of travelers. If it’s canceled because the minimum isn’t met, you’ll be offered a different date/experience or a full refund
  • This tour/activity will have a maximum of 11 travelers
