About this activity
Meeting at the Velo Thailand Bike Shop for a quick bike fitting and briefing, you head off through the maze of Bangkok’s fascinating narrow sois (lanes) and back streets. You will have access to the old part of Bangkok where only pedestrian and bikes can enter due to the size of the alleys

Starting from Khao san road area and crossing over the river Chao Phraya to the flower Market, you will then visit a number of small local temples via the paths and alleys along the canals. Your guide shares local knowledge of how people use to live work around the klongs and canals which were a major part of their daily life and thus why Bangkok was called the Venice of the East.

Narrow streets will then take you to the most famous Temple of Dawn, Wat Arun, where you will have time to take pictures and have a cold drink. Pressing on, you visit the former Bangkok train station that was bombed by the Japanese during the war, before crossing the river Chao Phraya by boat. Your arrival at the pier presents you with a path leading straight to the Grand Palace and Wat Pho area.

A visit to the park of Sanam Luang, illuminated at night making for a great final photo stop before riding back to the bike shop, concluding your night ride.
