Loy Krathong Festival On Wonderful Pearl Cruise Thursday November 22 IN 2018

What is Loy Krathong Festival? 
Krathong is a Thai term which refers to a piece of banana trunk decorated with flowers, banana leaves, candle and incense sticks. The word Loy means to float in the Thai. When put together, it simply mean floating banana trunk festival. 
There are many stories regarding how the festival originated. One of the versions is that Thai people have long been involved with rivers as Thailand is an agriculture based country. Rivers are like their own blood veins. To show respect to the river, basically the goddess of the river called Pra Mae Khongkha, Thai people decided to make a Krathong to worship and ask for forgiveness.The Thais now see it as a time to wave goodbye to misfortune, wash away sins of the past year, and make wishes for the coming year.
Itinerary
18.00 hrs. Registration takes place at River City Pier (Soi Charoenkrung 30) at Counter 2. You will have the pleasure of experiencing a breathtaking show at the pier area.
19.20 hrs. Welcome on board the Wonderful Pean in an original Thai atmosphere with a delicious Welcome drink.
19.30 hrs. Depart on our moonlight journey from the River City Pier. Our honorable guests will enjoy the mouthwatering International Buffet Dinner under the beautiful and romantic full moonlit sky together with 1" Thai classical Dance performance while cruising along the river and enjoying the sites of inestimable architectural perfection like the Memorial Bridge, Wat Arun, Pra Sumen Fort, Wat Pho The Grand Palace and the Temple of The Emerald Buddha, King Rama Vill Bridge and a parade of dazzling boats along the river.
20.30 hrs. Take part in a fun musical ambiance.
21.15 hrs. Traditional Thai Puppet Theater at Hanuman caught Nang Suphanna Matcha .E pisode is the one episode from Ramakian.
21.30 hrs. Fun activities aboard The Wonderful Pear
22.00 hrs. You will enjoy our sensational Pop-Jazz band at the dock under the moonlit night
20.40 hrs. You will have the opportunity of setting your very own "Krathongs" afloat, which the Wonderful Pearl has prepared for their guests. Then we will all participate in the festive "Ram Wong" together.
23.00 hrs. Arrival back to the pier safely.
