Take a two hour guided walking tour around Barcelona’s Gothic quarter. Find the hidden secrets of the oldest architectural structures of the city through Barcelona’s Medieval and Renaissance sites. When carrying out some renovation works in the 1930s, a whole complex of Roman ruins were found underneath the heart of the old city. Another hidden gem in Barcelona’s Gothic Quarter is Plaça Felip Neri – the entrance to Barcelona’s Jewish Quarter. This tiny square used to share space with a church, the church that Gaudí was on his way to visit before his tragic accident. It is also one of the places in Barcelona where you can see the effects of the Spanish Civil War bombings. The beautiful neighborhood known as the Gothic Quarter is probably the district with the most history of the whole city, with so much to discover around each corner, we definitely recommend a guided tour to not miss out on anything!
