The impressive Montserrat Monastery located one hour away from Barcelona, is perched high on a mountain and it has been a place of pilgrimage and of deep religious interest for hundreds of years because a statue of a virgin was found onsite. It was restored by an acclaimed modernist Architect Josp Puig i Cadafalch in 1925. Also famous for building elegant houses at the exclusive Passeig de Gràcia during the Modernism epoch.

Montserrat Monastery is famous for its singing children conservatoire, the oldest in Europe.
