About this activity

The Palau Baró de Quadras, Institut Ramón Llull headquarters, is a remodelling by the modernist architect Josep Puig i Cadafalch, carried out between 1902 and 1905.

The textile industrialist Manuel de Quadras i Feliu, I Baron of Quadras, was responsible for commissioning the remodelling of a house that belonged to him in Diagonal Avenue in Barcelona.

Its interior is organised in the style of the gothic Catalan palaces, where the use of ceramic is somewhat influenced by Islamic architecture. The main façade features couples dressed in a medieval style, such as Saint George, the patron of Catalonia, killing the dragon.

During the visit, you will discover its interiors, the noble floor, the two façades and the staircase.
