Martin Buttrich is famous for his fluency behind a mixing console as opposed to a virtual drummer. That technical prowess, combined with a fascination for music of all forms, has led to notable releases on influential labels such as Planet E, Four: Twenty, Cocoon, Poker Flat, Nervous and Desolat. He also put his sonic fingerprint on many highly successful artists, in particular, he received a Grammy nomination for a remix by Tori Amos in 2003. Those diverse musical horizons are rare.
