About this activity
You’ll begin your tour by biking through some of Barcelona’s award-winning urban renewal projects developed for the 1992 Summer Olympics. You’ll get to see the Olympic Village, as well as the port and inner harbor, home to luxury vessels. As you bike through this gorgeous area, your guide will explain how much the area has changed over time into the beautiful place it is today.

You’ll then head off to the 1988 Universal Expo grounds, including the Parc de la Ciutadella. The sprawling green space, which is like Barcelona’s version of Central Park, still holds structures from the Expo. You’ll even see the Arc d’Triomf, the grand reception that greeted visitors to the Expo! Before leaving the bikes behind you’ll also get a chance to see Palau de la Musica, a hidden modernist gem, and the Santa Caterina Market, Barcelona’s oldest fresh food market!

With the cycling portion of the tour completed, you’ll now venture on foot into the medieval Gothic Quarter (closed to bicycles) – a must-see for everyone visiting Barcelona! This neighborhood is Barcelona’s oldest and full of hidden gems and fascinating stories at every turn. You’ll feel like you’ve stepped into the past as you navigate the narrow, winding streets. Throughout your journey, your guide will show you some of Barcelona’s highlights, including the Cathedral of Barcelona, the Jewish Quarter, the Ancient Synagogue and Plaza Sant Jaume. You’ll end your tour satisfied that you have seen the very best of Barcelona!
