With fourteen exhibits in twelve galleries, the Museum offers a variety of experiences for all ages, featuring history, art and culture of Chatham and vicinity. Visit an old sea captain's house from the 1750's, a barn filled with large murals from the 1940's, fishing and shipwreck exhibits, Then and Now photographs, Cape Cod Main Streets, a beach camp from the 1930's, a working lighthouse lens, and more. Activities for children include a scavenger hunt, floor puzzle, and bell ringing. Most exhibits include ample seating areas and handicap accessibility. Museum gift shop is filled with local handmade goods, a variety of books and unique gift items.
