About this activity
The tour

★ starts at Zoo Palast, where her parents celebrated the successes of film premiers in the 50s and 60s. Nowadays Anouschka herself is on that red carpet. At Zoo Loge she invites you to a welcome drink.

★ First she takes you to the "Theater des Westens". On Oktober 25 in 1961 there was the German original production of the musical "My Fair Lady". It was a huge success. Her father Paul Hubschmid played the role of Professor Henry Higgins. She remembers her Dad's stories and brings back the glamour of this success into the now showing illustrative materials.

★ Further on she drives with you to the noble housing area "Dahlem", passing Paul Hubschmid's former residence, the "Siemensvilla" along to the nearby "Grunewaldsee". A short walk to "Paulsborn am Grunewaldsee" reminds Anouschka Renzi of her Sunday walks to the "Grunewaldsee" together with family and friends.

★ At the former "Forsthaus Paulsborn", now called "Paulsborn am Grunewaldsee" she invites you to a refreshment.

★ The trip continues to the legendary "CCC-Filmstudios" of Arthur Brauner and his daughter Dr. Alice Brauner in Berlin-Spandau. Since the founding of the stuios in 1949 there were approximately 700 movies produced. For example in 1959 "The Tiger from Eschnapur" or "The Indian Tomb" by director Fritz Lang with Anouschkas Dad Paul Hubschmid in the leading role.

★ Back in Charlottenburg, passing Anouschka Renzi's present places to go like for example the "Paris Bar", she invites you for dinner at "Diener". "Diener-Tattersall" is a tradional actors' bar/restaurant, an artists' meetingpoint with hearty homestyle cooking. It has been placed next to Savignyplatz for more then 100 years.

A fascinating trip through the past and the now, through the Berlin of one of the most chatoyant and most interesting personalities of this city - with Anouschka Renzi.
