About this activity

Just outside of Berlin lays the scenic town of Potsdam with palaces, gardens and churches straight out of a picture book. For almost three centuries it was the residence of Prussian kings, princes and German emperors of the House of Hohenzollern. Discover an impressive landscape that ranks among the most beautiful in Europe and witnessed events which changed the world forever.

See the dreamlike Babelsberg Palace and the Marble Palace on the lakeshore. Stroll through the idyllic Russian village and explore the quaint 18th century Dutch quarter. In the park Neuer Garten lays the countryside Cecilienhof Palace. It became world-famous when Stalin, Churchill and Truman met here after the Second World War to decide upon the future of Germany and Europe. Cross the Bridge of Spies where the Americans and Soviets exchanged captured spies during the Cold War and see the former Stasi prison which was run by the secret police of East Germany.

At the end of the tour your guide will show you the enchanting Sanssouci Park surrounding the Sanssouci Palace of Frederick the Great. You can either visit the stunning palace by your own or return to Berlin with your guide.
