About this activity
After picking it up at your hotel in Bogota at 8 a.m. in your private transport for a 2-hour tour through the savannah of Bogota to the lagoon of Guatavita. The lagoon that is part of a protected natural area, a guide of English-speaking parks or in Spanish joins the group to explain the culture of the Muisca Indians, the legend of El Dorado and the biological importance of the area for approximately 75 minutes , including a 30-minute walk along a path to the edge of the crater to see Lake Guatavitá below.

After leaving the lake, travel to the nearby city of Guatavitá to explore the architecture and the environment, including the bullring in the city. On the way, you will see the Tomine Dam, which is 9 km long, and then return to your place of accommodation.
