Bordeaux Wine Tour in St Emilion With a Picnic

ITINERARY

9:00 Meet your guide in Bordeaux, departure for a fun wine tour in the famous Saint Emilion area! On the way to your first visit your guide will give you an explanation about the Bordeaux wines characteristics and classification.

10:00 Visit and tasting in a Chateau in the Pomerol appellation. Leave your preconceptions about Merlot at the door. You will be surprised at the difference the Bordeaux terroir makes.

11:30 Visit and tasting in a Grand Cru of St Emilion followed by a picnic on the grounds. Weather permitting you will have a picnic in the vineyard with stunning views. (Alternatively space is available inside)

2:00 Travel through time with a guided visit of the medieval village of Saint Emilion followed by some free time in this UNESCO World Heritage town to explore on your own and do some shopping.

3:00 Your next visit is within the walls of St Emilion in a disused convent where cremant is made. Discover a different wine univers with the sparkling wine. End the tour with a convivial touch, you will share a typically French aperitif with the group (wines and snack, breads, cheeses, charcuterie, macarons etc..), before heading back to Bordeaux.

4:15 Depart St Emilion for Bordeaux
