Tintin Comics Tour to Hergé Museum from Brussels

About this activity
Your trip to Brussels’ Hergé Museum starts with either pickup at your Brussels hotel or by meeting your driver at a central city location. Then board your coach for the 45-minute drive to the museum, which lies about 20 miles (30 km) southeast of the city in a picturesque park.

When you arrive, you’ll be given an audio guide and are then free to begin your self-guided tour. Explore the museum independently, checking out what interests you!

Walk through the exhibits spread across eight rooms on two floors. First learn about Hergé himself on the first floor, and then head up to the second floor to see the displays of comic art from The Adventures of Tintin, as well as artwork depicting some of Hergé’s other comic characters like Quick and Flupke. Spend some time also admiring the remarkable building itself, designed by architect Christian de Portzamparc to resemble a ship emerging from a sea of trees and crashing into town.

If you get hungry, head to the museum restaurant, Le Petit Vingtième, or if you’d like to pick up a souvenir, browse the gift shop. After two hours at the museum, you’ll be taken back to central Brussels.
