• Meet your guide and depart early in the morning from your hotel in Bucharest
• Drive to the Carpathian Mountains to visit the Peleș Castle.The name “Sinaia” is related to Mount Sinai. Monks from the St. Catherine monastery came here in the 17th century and founded the Sinaia monastery. But the most impressive landmark was added later in the 19th century. Sinaia was chosen by the first Romanian king, Carol I, for building the summer residence of the Romanian Royal Family, the Peles Castle.
• Arrive in Transylvania and take a short walking tour of the Old Town in Brașov.Brașov (german name Kronstadt) is one of the important centre of Transylvanian Saxons in the past, and a large commercial hub on the trade roads between East and West. On the walking tour we will explore the city and see the impressive Black Church, the main square and other important landmarks in the Old Town.
• in the afternoon we visit the Dracula/ Bran CastleThe so-called Dracula castle was built on a rock by the merchants of Brasov in order to protect the border between the medieval states of Transylvania and Wallachia in the south. Discover more about the real historical character of Vlad the Impaler and the legend created by Bram Stoker.
• Return to Bucharest in the evening
