About this activity
Experience a day of wonderful adventures in the Carpathian Mountains, visit unique sites like the Peles Royal Castle in Sinaia and the famous Ialomicioara Cave.

Departure at 8:00 o'clock from your Hotel accommodation-Bucharest to Sinaia-visit Peles Royal Castle, and the Ilomicioara Cave in the Bucegi Mountains. On the way to these destinations learn about Dromichaites king of the Getic-contemporary with Alexander the Great-the Macedonian:Burebista Dacian King-contemporary to Julius Caesar and Decebalus Dacian King-contemporary to Traian,Roman emperors and their main role and contribution to ancient history.

The change of the Dacians Polytheism from five Gods to a single faith:the belief in Zamolxes took place during the reign of Burebista. It aimed the strengthening of power for the King at the top of society. There are many versions of the legend but mainly the one God religion is similar to Christianity that brought all the people togheter in support of their leader. They went into battle with a smile on their faces, convinced that death on the battlefield would be the greatest honour of all.

The road to the Ialomicioara Cave crosses the Paduchiosu Mountain and then climbes the Plateau of Bucegi Mountains opening wonderful and deep sceneries, passes by the beautiful Valley of Ialomita and the impresive Bolboci Reservoir Lake. The whole area that includes Ialomicioara Cave,Babele,Sfinxul is described as a zone with unusually high levels of energy that make the human body function at its best tirelessly.

Coming back from Ialomicioara, the road goes to Sinaia where the first King of Hohenzollern Sigmaringen Dinasty,Carol I built Peles Castle to live there during hot summers of Bucharest in a similar place to that of the Black Forest Mountains where he was born. The Palace si beautifully decorated in wood of different expensive timbers containing panels,bas-reliefs,statues,furniture, etcwich made the marketers promote it as:"It's worth to fly from New York to Bucharest only to see the Peles Castle."

Togheter with Ferdinand I,Carol II and Mihai, the Kings of Hohenzollern Sigmaringe Dinasty lived and led Romania from 1866 to 1947,a period of history that includes the Independence War and the two World Wars that brought dramatic, fundamental changes to the whole world and certainly Romania.Without their contribution our life today would have been profoundly different.
