Day 1. Transfăgărășan Road

At 8:00 am you will start your journey towards the Fagaras Mountains, some of the most massive and beautiful mountains in Romania, also named the Transylvanian Alps. Your first stop will be in the town named Curtea de Arges, at the bottom of the Fagaras Mountains, where you will visit one of the most remarkable monasteries in Romania. Next, you will continue the tour to the northern regions of Arges Country and step into the marvelous landscape of the mountains. You will enjoy a break at the foot of the Poenari Citadel, a stronghold that became famous thanks to Dracula's Legend.

Then, you will enter Romania's most beautiful road, named by Top Gear "the best road in the world", the Transfagarasan, second-highest road in Romania. The road reaches his highest point of 2034 meters at the Balea Lake, after passing through Romania's longest road tunnel, the Capra Tunnel. Here you will enjoy an hour break to enjoy the beauty of this place. Next, you will keep going towards Transylvania, and emerge on the other side of the Fagararas Mountains, in Sibiu city. Here accommodation follows in the city.

Day 2. Transalpina Road

In the morning after breakfast, you will enjoy a nice walking tour through Sibiu old town, and discover the history and architecture of this beautiful medieval place. Then you will set out on a journey towards Romania’s highest road: the Transalpina! This road is also called the King’s Road because it was constructed by one of Romania’s kings in 1938: King Carol II. The road offers amazing views and breathtaking sights literally above the clouds!

After this wonderful trip, you will head back to Bucharest city. The tour ends with private drop-off by your hotel
