About this activity
Learn the basics of Hungarian cuisine at this deliciously inspiring cooking class and small group tour of Budapest's Central Market Hall. If you've elected to eat breakfast at the market, meet your guide at 8:30am at the Burger King just across the street from the Central Market Hall. You'll embark on a half-hour tour of the grand Central Market Hall, tucking into a hearty local breakfast as you go.

If you haven't chosen to eat breakfast as part of the tour, meet your guide at Burger King at 9am and venture into the Central Market Hall; you'll linger for close to an hour over the stalls, and will join in as your guide purchases ingredients for the cooking class and shares some tidbits about Hungary’s culinary history.

After the Central Market Hall tour winds down at 10am, hop in a cab and motor over to the nearby professional kitchen. Your guide will share a delicious introduction to Hungarian cuisine and will walk you through the menu of the day, featuring traditional and seasonal dishes (vegetarian menus are available upon request).

From 10:30-12:30, with the help of your guide, prepare your very own three-course Hungarian feast, after which you'll sit down together to sample the fruits of your culinary labor (and sip a glass of exceptional Hungarian wine). The tour ends at the professional kitchen.
