Horse show with lunch near Budapest

On this unique cultural outing, set off from your Budapest accommodation in the morning — hotel transfer is available upon request for an added fee — and head north to the Danube Bend region. Your destination is the lovely Szentendre Island, where you’ll spend four hours exploring a traditional equestrian farm.

Begin the day’s activities with a horse show, which comprises a range of demonstrations, from four-in-hand driving and pony carriage driving to traditional Hungarian nomad warrior displays: think archery on horseback, spear-throwing, and other thrilling activities performed by csikós, or Hungary’s traditional mounted herdsmen.

At the end of the program, you’ll be invited to enjoy a lunch of traditional Hungarian food, visit some farm animals, head to the local adventure park, or even give horseback riding a try yourself.
