About this activity
In the morning, meet your guide who will escort you to Saqqara to see the Pyramid of Djoser (Zoser), or step pyramid, which is considered the world's oldest monumental structure. The Step Pyramid is said to have been built for Djoser by the master architect and ancient Egyptian legend, Imhotep.

Then you will head to Memphis, the legendary city of Menes, the King who united Upper and Lower Egypt. Memphis was the capital of ancient Egypt and an important center during Egyptian history. The temple of Ptah, the palace of Apries, and two huge statues of Ramses II are among the most important monuments found at the site.

Next you will drive to Giza. Upon arrival to the Giza Plateau, see the only remaining Wonder of the Ancient World, the Great Pyramid of Cheops. See the three major pyramids or tombs, built by the Pharaohs Cheops, his son Chephren and Chephren's son Mykerinus, where their mummified bodies would rest for eternity.

Situated in front of the pyramids of Chephren, is the guardian of this ancient mortuary complex: the legendary Great Sphinx. This monumental statue, with the body of a lion and head of a human, was carved from a single piece of Giza Plateau bedrock and is considered a national symbol of both ancient and modern Egypt. After the tour has finished your guide will escort you to your hotel.
