In this tour you will explore the three religions that comprise Egypt, which are practiced by thoursands today.You will see Jewish synagogues and Christian monuments that are regarded as a transitional period between pharaonic and Islamic art. Cairo is renowned for its antique churches and monasteries as well as for its Islamic monuments like mosques and the Citadel. Your tour begins with a visit to Old Cairo to enjoy some of the world's churches in a city, one of which was blessed with a visit by the holy family when they fled to Egypt. Known as Al Moallaqa in the Holy Bible, the suspended Church was built on the remains of the Roman fortress of Babylon and houses approximately ninety rare icons of Basilica style.You will also visit Amr Ibn Al-As mosque, the first built in the city and the fourth in the world world, before seeing Ben-Ezra synagogue. From here, you will visit Elmoaz Street, which has the world's largest Islamic collection then enjoy an oriental lunch in a local restaurant.Following lunch, you will explore the Citadel of Salah – El – Din and Mohammed Ali Mosque.
