Most of Cape Town's Foreshore precinct used to be under water, but found its business-hub shape through a complicated land-reclamation project completed in the 1940s. The Cape Town canal once again links the vibrant V&A Waterfront area with downtown Cape Town. Whether you decide to sail one way or return, sit back and learn more about this watery history and the V&A Waterfront’s underwater gems, such as secret submerged passageways and private islands.
