Spier Tasting

(R40 pp): Choose three wines from their Signature range and one from each of the two premium wine ranges, 21 Gables and Creative Block.

Festive Tasting

(R50 pp): Tasting consist of 5 wines of the day and includes a wine glass. Purchase your tasting vouchers at Wine Tasting.

Chocolate and wine tasting

(R70 pp): Inspired by the Spier Signature Méthode Cap Classique and the Spier Creative Block blends, the chocolatier has carefully crafted chocolates that complement and unlock nuanced flavours in each of their liquid treasures.

Winemaker Selection

(R90 pp): The two premium wine ranges plus Spier’s organic red wine called First Stone.

Children’s Grape Juice Tasting

(R40 pp): The ideal way to keep the youngsters busy. Includes a fun lucky packet, a tasting of two different grape juices and an educational activity sheet.

The museum includes four period houses which depict the way people lived and the difference in architectural styles over the periods illustrated.

Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Shiraz, Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc has been made for quite some time now and more recently Dieu Donné started producing a Méthode Cap Classique and Viognier. Merlot is the Flagship wine of the cellar.

The view from Dieu Donné is well-known among those who wish to identify the famous landmarks of Franschhoek, watch the sun setting over the Simonsberg Mountains or just love enjoying a glass of wine at this scenic spot.

After lunch while being in Franschoek, we make a quick stop at the French Huguenot Museum and Monument. The Huguenot Memorial Museum portrays the history of the French Huguenots who came to South Africa at the end of the seventeenth century.

Right next to the Museum we have a look at The Huguenot Monument, which, is dedicated to the cultural influences that Huguenots have brought to the Cape Colony after their immigration during the 17th and 18th centuries.
