2-Day Morrocoy National Park Tour from Caracas

Discover Morrocoy National Park, its thick vegetation of mangroves, colonies of sea-birds and coral islands. About 30 cays form the park, some of which are covered in palm trees and mangroves and others are low-lying islets of pure white sand.

The mangroves are an important nesting ground for frigate birds, scarlet ibis, pink flamingoes, crested herons, cormorants and ducks that will bless you with amazing sightings during your boat-trip to the cays. 

The National Park can be visited from two small towns, Tucacas and Chichirivice where most posadas are located. Small boats departure to the islands from the dock or the beach every morning and come back before sunset. Posadas and hotels usually have their own boats to transport their guests.

Day 1: Caracas – Morrocoy

Morning car transfer from Caracas to Morrocoy. Arrival and check-in at Posada. Boat excursion to the park’s islets on share basis. At the end of the afternoon return to the posada for overnight stay.

Day 2: Morrocoy – Caracas

After breakfast, boat excursion to the park’s islets on share basis. In the afternoon, car transfer from Morrocoy to Caracas.
