This walking tour starts at 10am on the North side of the Old Exchange and Provost Dungeon. From there the tour will proceed to see many sites in the heart of Charleston's Historic District including, but not limited to: the remnants of the original walls which defined the Old Walled City; the picturesque pastel houses which make up Rainbow Row; charming Tradd Street; spectacular East Battery Street and its views of Charleston harbor and many elegant mansions; beautiful White Point Gardens; the Villa Margherita; Lower Church Street; the Thomas Rose House with the whistling ghost of Dr. Joseph Brown Ladd; the Dubose Heyward house and Catfish Row, and the Heyward – Washington House where George Washington once slept!
This tour takes place on Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday mornings, involves a moderate amount of walking, and finishes back at the same place where you met your guide in the morning.
