About this activity
Meet your guide at the Chiang Mai Gate Hotel at 7:45am and transfer by minivan to The Tuk Tuk Club training base in the beautiful Mae Wang valley. Arriving around 9am you'll be introduced to your Tuk Tuk and start your driving training session. Don't worry, it's actually pretty easy once you get going.

Once you're trained up, head off in convoy along tiny rural lanes and through fascinating communities on your way to a remote, mountainside Temple where you'll stop and learn about the life of the monks and the surrounding community.

Next you'll get back on the road, take a short break for a delicious Thai lunch and then Tuk Tuk on to a fascinating, small elephant 'home' where the focus is on putting elephants first and allowing you to learn about and experience first hand the majesty of these wonderful animals as you watch the locals feed, walk and bathe them.

Once the elephants are clean it's time to enjoy life in the slow lane as you paddle gently on traditional bamboo rafts along the local river, passing through rice fields, forest and rural communities. Then, dry off and get back behind the wheel of your Tuk Tuk through the winding roads before it's time to switch into the minivan and head back to Chiang Mai city. You'll arrive at the Chiang Mai Gate Hotel around 6pm.
