We will begin our tour in the iconic and historic lobby of the Palmer House. The story of this hotel is one of romance and charm, with a triumphant comeback to story to tell. We will share some of these stories with you before we venture out into the Loop. We will also sample the original brownie recipe from Chicago's 1893 World's Fair, which was created right here in this kitchen!

Stop At: The Rookery Building, 209 S La Salle St, Chicago, IL 60604-1219

After the Great Chicago Fire of 1871, Chicago was devastated. This set the stage for major growth within the city's downtown Loop. We will walk down Lasalle South Dearborn Street and admire the architecture and some of Chicago's earliest skyscrapers.

Stop At: Chicago Chinatown, 318 W Cermak Rd, Chicago, IL 60616-1916

We will head to the vibrant neighborhood of Chinatown. Here we will sit down and taste test the city's BEST dumplings, followed by a tapioca smoothie tasting. You will also have some time to briefly shop in Chinatown.

This district is a historic area in the South Loop of the city. After the Great Chicago Fire of 1871, this area became home to some of Chicago's wealthy and elite.

We will admire the gardens outside of Chicago's oldest remaining home, the Clarke House. This Greek-revival home was built in 1836.

This stunning garden honors the contributions women have made to the city throughout its history.

Stop At: Marquette Building, 140 S Dearborn St, Chicago, IL 60603-5202

Named after Father Jaques Marquette, the first European settler to Chicago, this building is an architectural gem. We will admire the rich terra cotta ornamentation and the gorgeous Tiffany mosaics, as well as learn a bit of history behind the Marquette Building.

This 300+ acres park (which includes Millennium Park, Buckingham Fountain, "The Bean," Crown Fountain, Pritzker Pavilion, and more) is the heartbeat of our city with a story to tell! We will discuss the urban planning and legal battles that turned this park into what it is today, as well as admire the beautiful gardens.
