About this activity
• Meet at 2 pm at 900 N. Michigan (Bloomingdale's building), inside by the ground-floor concierge desk in the lobby just inside the doors from Michigan Avenue.
• Your tour guide will welcome you warmly, and start the tour!
• We'll visit 4 chocolate shops, bakeries, and cafes, where you can sample, learn, and enjoy. If for whatever reason a planned store becomes unavailable, your tour guide will have replacement chocolate for you.
• At the start of the tour, your tour guide will let you sample raw cocoa beans, the seed of the cocoa fruit from which all chocolate is made.
• You'll also receive "welcome chocolate" to sample, in the form of sustainable craft chocolate.
• Your tour guide will share fun and fascinating facts about the history and health benefits of chocolate, as you sample different varieties of chocolate at the stops we'll visit.
• The tour guide will introduce you to some store owners or managers at the locations you visit, so that you can hear from them what makes their chocolate or other products unique.
• You'll receive samples selected for our tour.
• Your tour guide will point out architectural points of interest along the way.
• You'll laugh, smile, and get to try lots of chocolate!
