Private Dazu Day Tour from Chongqing

Then, depart the city for a 2-hour drive to Dazu county, with views of rice terraces and green mountains along the way. For your first stop, visit the restored Cangzhou ancient town. Later, continue to Beishan Grottoes, located on Long Gang Hill. The grottoes were created over 1,200 years ago during late Tang Dynasty, famous for its massive collection of various Bodhisattva of Compassion.

Take a break for local lunch, then head into Baoding Mountain to visit Baoding Grottoes. Enter the core Grottoes reserve of Baoding Big Buddha Bay. Learn the detailed story of carvings from your guide including the Buddha of Sikamuni. Pay a visit to Shenshou temple on the top of Baoding Mountain.
