The Thousand Islands Bridge Authority (TIBA) welcomes you to tour Boldt Castle to explore and experience an attraction like no other. Construction began on Boldt Castle in 1900 at the bidding of millionaire hotel magnate George C. Boldt as a tribute to his beloved wife Louise. Boldt Castle was designed as their summer dream home. A castle rivaling those of Europe, built on the St. Lawrence River, in the heart of the 1000 Islands. However it was not to be, Mrs. Boldt passed away suddenly just months before the completion of the castle. Mr. Boldt was inconsolable and immediately stopped all construction on Heart Island, leaving the property vacant for over seventy years…

We begin in Clayton miles south of Boldt Castle, travel up the American Channel of the St. Lawrence Seaway, stop at Heart Island, and return through Canadian waters as we complete the circle around Wellesley Island. Our professional guides will share rich history, legends and lore as we get you up close to the islands allowing adults and children the ability to spot local wildlife.

We stop at Heart Island for one hour and 15 minutes where you can explore Boldt Castle and the beautiful grounds. Our boat waits for you and you reboard the same boat with the same crew to continue your on the St. Lawrence. We return through US Waters to Clayton, traveling the St. Lawrence Seaway, Millionaires row, under the US span of the Thousand Islands Bridge System, and pass by Rock Island Lightshouse.
