This is a unique opportunity to visit a local market and explore the culture and cuisine of Copenhagen. Discover with your host Christine, Danish history of food by engaging all of your senses - sight, smell, touch and taste. You will discover six of her favorite food places in the city and hear interesting stories behind it. Christine says that every place has a story to tell which is interesting, funny and a gastronomic experience waiting to be discovered. On this unique tour, Christine will cover the history of food through the last 1000 years - from the Vikings to the modern Nordic kitchen. It is an educational, intriguing and joyful tour. Christine will meet you in central Copenhagen and you will walk for about 3 kms, mainly in the old part of Copenhagen. The experience includes food and beverage tasting - you'll get to taste a favorite cake of H.C. Andersen, try medicinal herbs from the medieval period, drink the Vikings favorite drink, and much more.
