Sierra Madre de Oaxaca Day Trip: Finca La Gloria Coffee Plantation and Waterfall Swim

Meet your guide upon hotel pickup in Huatulco, and relax in the air-conditioned minivan en route to the foothills of the Sierra Madre de Oaxaca. Throughout the approximate 1.5-hour drive you’ll have access to water and soft drinks on board.
Begin with a visit to the Finca La Gloria coffee plantation, where you’re introduced to the complete coffee-production process. When you arrive at the property, built at the beginning of the 19th century, the friendly plantation owners welcome your group. On your tour, learn about each installation that transforms the organic coffee grains into a delicious drink, and try a fresh cup!
Afterward, you will have the opportunity to take a refreshing dip in the waterfalls of Llano Grande, a magical place flowing with crystal-clear water. A short walk leads you to a waterfall cascading 60 feet (18 meters) into jungle-clad pools below. If you’re feeling adventurous, use the rope swing to jump off the 20-foot (6-meter) platform into the swimming hole.
Conclude your day trip with a delicious Oaxacan lunch at the plantation. You can observe colorful butterflies at the nearby butterfly farm if there’s time (own expense) before you’re transported back to your Huatulco hotel.
