Horseback Riding to Maras Salt Mines and Moray

We will start our Horseback Riding Tour in the small town Paucarbamba, after receiving our safety equipment and a small demonstration of the basic instructions of how to ride a horse (in case you don’t have any experience). From here, we will ride uphill until reaching the high mountains of the Sacred Valley while enjoying beautiful panoramic views of the snow-capped mountains Verónica and Chicón. After a 3-hour-ride we will reach the archaeological site of Moray: We will discover the Inca Laboratory Terraces and then continue our ride to the small town Maras, where we have our box lunch and a short break. Afterwards, we continue descending to the Maras Salt Mines. We will stay here for a short while, enjoying the great ambiance and visiting the tourist stores around. Finally, we will finish our tour in Tarabamba where our transport service will be waiting for us to transport you back to Ollantaytambo or Urubamba.

On request, we can include the private transport from and to Cusco, which has an extra cost of USD 50$ for two persons. One-way transport is USD 25$ for two persons.
