This tour takes you to visit the bustling port town Tra Nhieu, originating in the in 16th - 17th century it still preserves many characteristics of a peaceful countryside location on Thu Bon river bank

You will be met at your hotel lobby and transferred to a central meeting point in Hoi An from where you will ride your bicycle to Thu Bon wharf on Bach Dang street where you will take a local ferry sailing 3km along Thu Bon River to Tra Nhieu fishing village. This is a peaceful, romantic area where typical features of Vietnamese villages are still maintained and you are encouraged to enjoy the beautiful and poetic scenery. In the village you can see the paths winding around local garden houses shaded by scented betel-nut trees and you will be given a brief introduction to the history and traditional handicrafts of the village such as: farming, fishing, poultry and livestock breeding, sleeping mat making.

Next you will be taken in a boat with the local fisherman to learn how to cast a net, catch fish, shrimp and crab.

A well-earned lunch follows with special dishes at a local house.

Sadly, it will be time to bid farewell to the local fishermen and catch the boat back to the wharf, from where you will cycle back to your hotel.

 NB: Hoi An departures are from hotel with transfer /walking to tour start point.
