Dubai Desert Morning Tour in 4WD Vehicle: Camel Ride, Quad Bike Tour, Sandboarding, and Camel Farm

Your morning kicks off with a pickup from your Dubai hotel. Settle in to your air-conditioned, 4x4 vehicle and travel south from the city, heading deep into the desert. Enjoy the views over the barren landscapes and distant Hajar Mountains as your guide tells you fascinating facts about the desert, its geography and its people.

After roughly one hour on the road, arrive at the desert base, all ready for the adventures ahead, and climb into your quad bike for a tour. Listen to the safety briefing and driving instructions, pop on your helmet, buckle up and take a practice ride. Then, you’re off! Open the throttle and race along dusty trails, following your guide and enjoying panoramic views over the desert as you go.

Next comes your visit to a traditional camel farm to see these stoic ‘ships of the desert’ that are so beloved by the nomadic Bedouin people. Get up close to the camel enclosures to take photos of the animals and any baby camels in the herd. Then, clamber onto a camel to tread the sands. Master the animal’s rolling gait with help from your guide, and learn how and why these magnificent creatures make the ideal mode of transport in the desert.

Having seen the sands from the back of a humped-back beast, try your hand at another popular desert sport: sandboarding! Grab one of the provided sandboards and ‘surf’ your way down the steep sand dunes like a snowboarder. Feel your adrenaline pump as you glide down the slopes and perhaps race your fellow travelers — it’s a thrilling experience!

Your tour finishes with your 4x4 journey back to Dubai and a drop-off at your hotel. Water and soda are available during the morning, but remember to bring a camera to take lots of photos!
