About this activity
An all-inclusive overnight camping safari in the Dubai Desert Conservation Reserve, enjoy a falcon display, camel ride to your furnished tented camp, fully equipped with toilet and shower facilities. Relax by the camp-fire, after a sumptuous Arabic Barbecue dinner served with select alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages. Wake up to a fresh cooked breakfast the next morning and a nature drive before returning to Dubai for your hotel drop off.
Day 1
In the early evening, depart your Dubai hotel by air-conditioned 4 wheel drive vehicle. Your knowledgeable and experienced safari guide will point out landmarks of Dubai and explain more about the desert, it’s history and importance as you drive out to the Dubai Desert Conservation Reserve. After approximately 45 minutes you will enter the Dubai Desert Conservation Reserve, a unique reserve, funded by its visitors to conserve the natural beauty and biodiversity of the Arabian Desert.
After a gentle drive through the desert, you board your ‘ship of the desert; the dromedary camel to trek a short way to our overnight camp. All tents are fully equipped with bed, bedding & amenities. A delicious barbecue dinner is served in a gazebo or ‘majilis’ and includes grilled meats, fresh salads, Arabic desserts and hand-picked grape and hops beverages. Relax by the camp fire on comfortable cushions and carpets while you gaze at the stars above.
Day 2
Awake to a freshly prepared hot breakfast, then take a morning desert drive through the reserve. You will see the flora and fauna and have a chance to see indigenous Arabian Oryx and Gazelle and some smaller inhabitants from the insect, rodent and reptile families. Your guide will answer all your questions about the wildlife, and the role conservation plays in protecting them. Your tour ends with a return trip to Dubai and drop off at your hotel at noon.
