About this activity
“Drink in the views from our world famous Gravity Bar as you embark on a guided journey through the history of the Guinness story. From that day in 1759 when the 9,000-year lease was signed to the present, you’ll discover the impact the family’s philanthropy has had on Dublin, including the restoration of some of our city’s most famous landmarks.”
A visit to the magical home of Guinness is a must on anyone’s trip to Dublin. Guinness Storehouse, Ireland’s top visitor attraction, is located in the heart of the Guinness Brewery at St. James’s Gate.
Housed in an old fermentation plant, the 7-story visitor experience tells the history of world-famous Guinness Stout. Your 2-hour adventure begins the moment you walk through the door and into the building’s giant, pint-shaped heart of glass. As you make your way through the Guinness Storehouse, you’ll discover what goes into making the Black Stuff – the ingredients, the process, and the passion. Learn about the different advertsing campaigns and slogans used to market Guinness, try different samples of the drink in the tasting room, and discover how to pour the perfect pint yourself.
Having traveled through more than 250 years of history, end your tour at the Gravity Bar where you’ll receive a complimentary pint of Guinness. Relax and enjoy the spectacular 360 degree views over Dublin.
