1 day
About this activity
Looking to get away from the concrete jungle of Dublin? Go on an adventure to visit the area by the gorgeous River Boyne. You’ll get to enjoy fantastic views of the lush green landscape surrounding the river and you’ll surely soak in the tranquil atmosphere generated by the sound of the river’s rippling waters. During this adventure, you’ll walk up the famous Hill of Tara, the seat of the Irish High Kings. There, you’ll visit the hill’s most famous attractions, such as the Stone of Destiny, the High Cross, Saint Patrick’s Church, the Mound of the Hostages, and the Banqueting Hall. As you walk around the hill, you’ll learn all about the history of Irish royalty from an engaging and insightful tour guide. Another place you’ll visit near the River Boyne is the astonishing Newgrange passage tomb, a prehistoric monument that’s older than the Egyptian pyramids and the enigmatic Stonehenge.
